Art, walking my grandmother’s dogs, playing Scherzo-valse by Chabrier
What do you enjoy most about playing the piano?
Everything. It’s my life so of course I enjoy it.
What is the most challenging thing about playing the piano for you?
Recording! Unlike a concert or a competition, I feel like I have to start it all again if I make a small mistake in the middle.
If you could meet any musician, who would it be and why?
Finnish violinist Pekka Kuusisto because of his bold and exciting performances, always with a sense of humour!
Where is the most interesting place you have ever played the piano?
Sometimes I do some busking (playing music in public areas) at the beach on a portable piano, and in Lyme Regis (a town on the southern coast of England) I did some busking sitting on a low wall. Seagulls were eating fish and chips all around me!
How do you think music could change the world?
Music is like a happy spirit, drifting away from the piano and into the hearts of many people.
